Persian Gulf. Iraq ( Calman 1920; Apel & Türkay 1999), Kuwait ( Apel 2001), Iran ( Naderloo & Schubart 2009; Naderloo 2011; present study).

Iran. Khuzestan Province: Arvandroud (Shat al-Arab) and Bahmanshir rivers.

General distribution. Endemic: Persian Gulf ( Iraq and Iran).

Habitat. Muddy bank of river.

Remarks. Detailed taxonomic and biological accounts of the species has been provided by Naderloo & Schubart (2009) and Naderloo (2011).
