Persian Gulf. Iraq ( Apel 2001), Saudi Arabia ( Basson et al. 1977; Apel 2001), UAE ( Hornby 1997; Iran ( Apel 2001; Moradmand 2007; present study).

Iran. Widely distributed along the Iranian coast and coast of the visited islands (Qeshm, Kish, Lavan)

General distribution. Northwestern Indian Ocean: Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Somalia, Socotra, southern Oman (Dhofar), Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Pakistan.

Habitat. Sandy supralittoral.
