Iran. Hormozgan Province: Qeshm I. (Shib-Deraz).

General distribution. Indo-West Pacific: South Africa, Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Pakistan, Australia (Southern Australia).

Habitat. Rocky/cobble intertidal.

Remarks. Sheibani (2008) recorded this species from the Iranian coast of the Gulf of Oman, which was the first record for the Gulf of Oman. She has briefly discussed on the taxonomy of the species.
