TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Pernambuco .

DISTRIBUTION: E Venezuela, Guyanas, C and E Brazil, Bolivia, Trinidad (see Goodwin and Greenhall, 1961:202). Lives up to 1,500 m in elevation.

SYNONYMS: boliviensis , brandtii, centralis, cuandu, longicatus, platycentrotus.
