Type material examined

? Holotype or? paratype female (on slide, BCRI): China, Fujian, Fuzhou, Jinshan, 27.ix.1987, N.-q. Lin (labeled as " Acmopolynema tipbentis [this is an earlier, manuscript name] female, sp. n. Det: Xu Mei".

Diagnosis

Member of the orientale species group. FEMALE. This species is characterized by a narrow (4.2–4.3 x as long as wide) forewing ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 37–40 ) with 2 brown spots (modified setae of types F and G on the basal spot and normal setae on the apical spot), and a peculiar propodeum ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 37–40 ) with a medial groove extending from anterior margin to base of the submedial carinae at posterior margin; propodeal submedial carinae very short, not reaching half length of the propodeum. Upper mandibular tooth rounded. Antenna ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 37–40 ) with F6 yellow or light brown. Marginal vein of forewing with 2 dorsal macrochaetae. Vertex, scape, pronotum, coxae, femora, and tibiae with short, blunt setae. Axilla with 3 or 4 foveae; scutellum without a row of frenal foveae. Ovipositor slightly exserted (by 1/7–1/8 of its length); ovipositor length: metatibia length about 1.5–1.6:1.
