Type locality. Mustiala , Tammela ( Finland) .

General distribution. Cosmopolitan species. Common in tropics. In higher latitudes the species was probably introduced and is found in protected soils ( Potapov 2001; Potapov et al. 2021).

Genus BALLISTURA Börner, 1906

Proisotoma (Ballistura) Börner, 1906: 172 .

Type species. Isotoma schoetti Dalla Torre, 1895 .

One species recorded in Vietnam, and some unidentified specimens from North Vietnam (EC: Nguyễn T. T. 1995a).
