Remarks. Domrow & Lester (1985) referred to this species as a synonym of Neotrombicula greenlyi Domrow, 1984 for an unclear reason. They identified it with Trombicula gymnodactyla McCulloch, 1946 (nomen nudum), but the latter was based on other material and was included in the genus Trombicula , while Womersley and Kohls described their species in the genus Eutrombicula .
