Remarks. The following nomina nuda created by Vercammen-Grandjean for the samples from African countries are also synonyms of B. acuscutellaris : Blankaartia (Blankaartia) arusha (nomen nudum), B. (B.) cuculidaea (nomen nudum), B. (B.) ixobrychus (nomen nudum), B. (B.) maji (nomen nudum), and B. (B.) rhampholeonis (nomen nudum) (Stekolnikov 2019).
