Type deposition. BMNH 1932.7 .18.11.

Type data. Ex Leopoldamys sabanus (syn. Rattus sabanus vociferans ), Malaysia, Selangor State, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

Hosts. RODENTIA : Berylmys bowersi , Hadromys humei , Leopoldamys edwardsi , L. sabanus ; SCANDENTIA : Tupaia belangeri belangeri ; CARNIVORA : Prionodon linsang .

Distribution. India, Malaysia.

Remarks. According to Fernandes & Kulkarni (2003), this species was recorded in India due to a misidentification of Walchiella lewthwaitei ( Womersley, 1952) .
