Type deposition. BMNH 1932.7 .18.35.
Type data. Ex Leopoldamys ciliatus (syn. Rattus edwardsi ciliatus ), Malaysia, Pahang State, Fraser’s Hill.
Hosts. RODENTIA : Bandicota indica , B. savilei , Berylmys bowersi , Lariscus insignis , Leopoldamys ciliatus , L. edwardsi , L. sabanus , Maxomys rajah , M. surifer , M. whiteheadi , Millardia meltada , Niviventer fulvescens , N. niviventer , N. rapit , Rattus exulans , R. losea , R. rattus , R. tanezumi , R. tiomanicus , Sundamys muelleri ; SCANDENTIA : Tupaia glis ; CARNIVORA : Herpestes javanicus .
Distribution. Ceylon, Malaysia, Thailand.
Remarks. This species is a synonym of W. disparunguis according to Vercammen-Grandjean (1971); however, since many literature records of the latter should be attributed to W. fulleri , I consider W. pingue separately, in order not to mix the lists of hosts and data on distribution for two species.
