Ctesicles ” Species-Group

Diagnosis. This species-group can be distinguished by the combination of the small size (4.8–6.5 mm in length) and body entirely covered in large, evenly spaced punctures. Two of the species formerly belonged to the genus Ctesicles , now a synonym of Diastolinus ( Ivie and Hart 2016) . These species almost certainly belong to the same lineage as they are especially distinct from the other Diastolinus species , however, they share all of the characters with the larger species that define the genus. The “ctesicles” speciesgroup is distributed in the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles from Martinique south to Grenada ( Fig. 102 View Fig ).
