Variations. Body length between 1.22 and 1.37 mm; LFW between 1.22 and 1.37 mm; maximum wing width between 0.49 and 0.61 mm; frontal carina straight; anterolateral margin of tergite II with pair of four to six setae; propodeal disc weakly to strongly striate; basivolsella with one or two projections, such projections as long as or slightly longer than aedeagal ventral ramus.

Remarks. Dissomphalus gabrus sp. nov. is similar D. julius sp. nov. because of the following characteristics: mandible with three apical teeth; hypopygium 2.43 × as wide as long, apex of medium stalk truncate, posterior corner sub-angulate; basivolsella with articulated projection; aedeagal dorsal body wider medially, lateral margin strongly convex; aedeagal ventral ramus much wider medially. However, D. gabrus sp. nov. differs from D. julius sp. nov. as follows: lateral depressions of tergal process with tubercles; genital ring straight, medium region with inclination angle of about 45º; paramere with basal region as wide as basiparamere apex, undivided ventral surface, paramere apex forming right angle with inner surface; inner surface with setosesetose sub-triangular spine; median region of basivolsella with long projection; aedeagal ventral ramus surpassing middle of dorsal body and reaching base of apical lobe of dorsal body; apodeme extending beyond genital ring.

Distribution. Thailand (Chiang Mai, Phitsanulok, Loei, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Nayok and Prachuab Khiri Khan).
