Acanthoproctus cervinus ( Haan, 1843)

Bioacoustics. Tegmina ( Fig. 3 ), stridulatory file ( Table 1 ) and spectrum of the song do not show large differences to the typical Hetrodini pattern. The calling song ( Fig. 7G ; after Kowalski & Lakes-Harlan 2013) consists of long series of syllables (song type B in Fig. 5 ). The SRR is unusually low for Hetrodini and the syllables much longer than in the other genera ( Kowalski & Lakes-Harlan 2013; see Table 2 ) except in Acanthoplus .
