Type host. Larus dominicanus Lichtenstein (Aves: Laridae ).

Site of infection. Proventriculus.

Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Balneario Orense (38º42ʹS, 59º47ʹW).

Holotype: 3 MLP 4065/1. Paratypes: MLP 4065/2 (allotype Ƥ); MLP 4065/3 (13, 1Ƥ).

Remarks. In the original description (Cremonte & Navone 1999) the collection numbers are refered as 40,065/1; 40,065/2 and 40,065/3 due to a mistake.
