Records from India. KERALA: Cherai, Veli— Priyalakshmi & Menon (2012)
Habitat (as in Indian records). Marine, intertidal; well sorted medium sand, 10 cm below surface.
Distribution. Mediterranean Sea, Canary Islands and India. According to Hummon (2010) the species is also present in Ecuador and Hawaii.
Remarks. In India, the species has been found only once ( Priyalakshmi & Menon 2012); a tentative identification was carried out by one of us (MAT) based on formalin-fixed specimens; future identification on living specimens would be advisable to better support the previous identification.
