Type Locality: Venezuela, Táchira State, 14 km SE Pregonero, Río Potosí, Paso Hondo, 1050 m.
Vernacular Names: Musso's Ichthyomyine.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality, far W Venezuela.
Conservation: IUCN – Endangered.
Discussion: The two known specimens represent the least aquatically specialized ichthyomyine species described thus far.
