Description. FEMALE: (n = 5, dorsal view) Body fusiform, flat, 203 (203–221), 63 (63–65) wide; white. Gnathosoma 33 (32–35), projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal seta (ep) 3 (3–4), dorsal pedipalp genual seta (d) 5 (5–6), cheliceral stylets 25 (24–25). Prodorsal shield 55 (55–56), 68 (68–79) wide; anterior shield lobe broad; median and admedian lines form a “Y” shape at center, there are some short lines at each side of the “Y” shape, admedian lines form two “U” shapes posteriorly, one shallow and the other deeply curved, a transverse line present anteriorly and a short transverse line at base. Scapular tubercles and setae (sc) absent. Coxal plates smooth, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 5 (5–6), 11 (11–12) apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 12 (9–12), 11 (10–11) apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 38 (38–40), 29 (28–29) apart. Prosternal apodeme 5 (4–5). Legs with usual series of setae. Leg І 30 (29–32), femur 7 (7–8), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 8 (7–8); genu 4 (4–5), antaxial genual seta (l'') 23 (22–23); tibia 5 (5–6), with a short spine at anterior margin, paraxial tibial seta (l') 15 (13–15), located at center from proximal tibial margin; tarsus 5 (4–5), seta ft' 16 (15–16), seta ft'' 20 (20–21), seta u' 3 (3–4); tarsal empodium (em) 4 (4–5), simple, 5- rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 5 (5–6), slightly knobbed. Leg І 24 (23–25), femur 7 (7–8), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 15 (15–16); genu 3 (3–4), antaxial genual seta (l'') 7 (6–7); tibia 3 (3–4), with a short spine; tarsus 5 (4–5), seta ft' 5 (4–5), seta ft'' 21 (20–21), seta u' 3 (3–4); tarsal empodium (em) 4 (4–5), simple, 5-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 6 (5–6), slightly knobbed. Opisthosoma: opisthosoma dorsally with 24 (24–25) annuli, with a shallow furrow, smooth, the 1 st, 3 rd, 4 th, 5 th, 7 th, 8 th, 10 th, 11 th, 13 th and 16 th annulus with large spines at each side laterally, ventrally with 62 (62–63) annuli, with spiny microtubercles. Setae c2 22 (22–25) on ventral annulus 6 (6–7), 60 (60–61) apart; setae d 50 (50–51) on ventral annulus 18 (18–19), 45 (44–45) apart; setae e 3 (3–4) on ventral annulus 33 (33–34), 18 (17–18) apart, setae f 25 (24–25) on 6th ventral annulus from rear, 16 (16–17) apart. Setae h1 absent, h2 50 (50–53). Female genitalia 16 (16–17), 24 (23–24) wide, coverflap two rows of ridges, the upper one with 20 longitudinal ridges, the other with 11 longitudinal ridges, setae 3a 10 (10–11), 18 (17–18) apart.

MALE: Unknown.

Type material. Holotype, female (slide number NJAUAcariEriW13a, marked Holotype), from Cyclobalanopsis glauca (Fagaceae) , The Guniujiang National Natural Reserve, Qimen County, Anhui Province, P. R. China, 30°00'57" N, 117°31'29" E, elevation 370m, 20 September 2007, coll. Zi-Wei Song and Zhen Wang. Paratypes, 4 females (slide number NJAUAcariEriW13a), with the same data as holotype.

Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.

Etymology. The specific designation guniujiangensis is from name of location, Guniujiang National Natural Reserve, where the species were collected.
