Sporocarps stipitate, lilac or lilac brown, up to 2.0 mm high, scattered and forming small colonies. Sporotheca ovate to cylindrical. Peridium evanescent. Stalk black, cylindrical, widened at the base, with a length of 0.2–0.5 mm. Columella cylindrical, reaching nearly to the apex of the sporotheca. Capillitium dark brown, dense, flexuous, originating along the columella. Spores globose, 7.3–10 × 7.3–10 μm, av. 8.7 × 8.7 μm, Q av = 1 (n = 25), purplish-gray, with marked warts. Under SEM, the ornamentation is formed by few and long baculae with short excrescences at the apex (figs.
