Diagnosis. Species of small size (3.4–4.6 mm), characterised by not or very weakly transverse pronotum, short elytral setae (mainly in male) and transverse desmomere 5.

Description. See Roudier (1958b); apex of the right pro- and metatibia as in Figs. 2b and 3a, respectively, aedeagus as in Fig. 47a, endophallic structures as in Fig. 45; spermatheca as in Fig. 57c, spiculum ventrale as in Fig. 47b.

Distribution. Iberian endemite: known only from Columbrete Grossa (= Mayor) island, its type locality (Castellón province). Spanish literature records: Columbrete Mayor ( Roudier, 1958b; Compte, 1960).

Material examined ( Fig. 77). Holotype, labelled: 1) Columbrete Mayor (Castellón), abril, 1957, Español leg.; 2) Peritelus (s. str.) españoli Roudier , type ♂, A. Roudier det.; 3) Holotypus, 4) 78-0420 MZB (MBA) . Other specimens: same label data as holotype (MBA; erroneously labelled as paratypes, the only female paratype is in Coll. Roudier); Is. Columbrete Grossa m. 25, 12.IV.03, leg. Bellò (BEL); do., leg. Pierotti ( PIE, VEC) .

Biology. A small series collected by us from Suaeda vera Forsskål ex J.F. Gmelin (Chenopodiaceae) .
