Specimens deposited: CNHE (567, 573).
Notes: The inclusion of the material from both localities in Neoechinorhynchus emyditoides has been suggested ( Fisher, 1960; Barger et al., 2004); however, it has been pointed out that Mexican specimens differ from N. emyditoides in several traits ( Amin, 2002).
