ESTADO DE MÉXICO: Ciénaga de Lerma: Ambystoma lermaensis ( Pérez-Ponce de León et al., 2000; Mata-López et al., 2002), Ambystoma tigrinum ( Bravo-Hollis, 1943a) , Lithobates montezumae ( Pérez-Ponce de León et al., 2000).
Specimens deposited: CNHE (1186, 3398, 3418) (H).
Notes: This species is morphologically similar to Haematoloechus complexus . However some genetic divergence among morphotypes of both species has been found, suggesting that Haematoloechus pulcher is a valid species ( León-Règagnon & Paredes-Calderón, 2002; León-Règagnon, 2003).
