Testudines (A): Body surface.
CHIAPAS: Presa Malpaso: Dermatemys mawii ; Laguna Bélgica: Kinosternon hirtipes , Kinosternon leucostomum ( López-Jiménez, 1985) . GUERRERO: Cacahuamilpa: Kinosternon integrum ( Caballero, 1941d) . TAMAULIPAS: Arroyo La Coma (Rancho Nuevo): Kinosternon herrerai ( Carr & Mast, 1988) .
Specimens deposited: CNHE (1645, 1681, 1691, 1716).
Notes: Specimens from Chiapas were named as Placobdella ringueleti by López-Jiménez (1985); however, this species was not formally described. Specimens from Guerrero identified as Placobdella rugosa [synonym of Placobdella ornata in accordance with Soos (1969b)], were re-identified as P. ringueleti ( López-Jiménez, 1985) .
