Description. Body medium sized to large robust with coloration brownish or yellowish; anterior tentorial branches hooked; head with anterior margin transversely striated; ocelli situated on anterior margin of head; antennal ledges well developed, antennal pits close to upper margins of eyes; face shagreen and rugose, lora broad; head broader or narrower than pronotum; forewing with four apical cells, inner anteapical cell open, appendix large and extended around wing apex; profemur with AM 1 seta only; intercalary setal row with several fine setae; foretibia flattened dorsally and expanded or not apically; hind femur with apical setal formula 2+1, 2+2+1 or 2+2+1+1.

Male genitalia. Pygofer basolateral membranous cleft present, side rounded with or without ventral appendage, with several macrosetae and microsetae on the lateral lobe; valve semicircular or triangular, subgenital plate long with fine hair-like setae; style with apical process elongate or short; connective Y or U-shaped, fused or articulated with aedeagus; aedeagus with or without basal processes; gonopore apical or subapical on ventral surface.

Female genitalia. Pygofer with numerous macrosetae; ovipositor not or slightly extended posteriorly beyond pygofer; first valvulae with strigate texture, second valvulae with serrate teeth and a middle tooth or without medial teeth.

Biology. Arboreal leafhoppers, found on dicotyledonous trees and shrubs.

Distribution. Palaearctic, Afrotropical, Oriental and Australian Region.
