Diagnosis. Male cercus with several long and hair-like setae along the inner margin from the base of cercal prong to the tip (posterior view); phallus with vesica composed of two rounded lobes and juxta wider than long, with two lateral rounded lobes.

Redescription. Male ( Figs 12 View FIGURES 10 – 13 , 17 View FIGURES 14 – 19 ). Length: 7–8 mm. Differs from R. sisbiota sp. nov. as follows: 7 frontal setae, outer vertical seta slightly longer than postocular setae, palpus brown, T5 with about 20 marginal setae, syntergosternite 7+8 with 7 strong marginal setae, cercal base wider than apex, with numerous long setae along the inner margin, cercal prong with a cluster of long setae at the base and short setae at the apex (posterior view, Fig. 17 View FIGURES 14 – 19 ); vesica simple, consisting of two rounded lobes joined at their bases; juxta conspicuous, base medially projected, subtriangular in postero-apical view, apically with a cleft forming two, rounded lateral lobes with apex bent laterally.

Remarks. Only three males of this species were collected from the state of MT in riparian forest areas of Cerrado and Pantanal. These specimens were identified by comparison with the holotype and represent the first record of this species from Brazil. The specimens were attracted by using an artificial, feces-scented bait used in livestock pest control.
