Zoogeographic element. European.

Distribution. Southern Europe ( Italy, France, Balkan Peninsula), Central and Eastern Europe ( Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Romania), northward to Sweden, eastward to Asia Minor.

Distribution in Romania. Epigeal records. Oraviţa (EQ58), Mehadia (FQ07) (all: Kuthy 1896); Mt. Cibin (KL75), Ciucaş (ML07) (all: Petri 1926). Hypogeal records. P. 6 din Valea Lupşei (2122/6) (FQ49), P. din Valea Pärului (2132/3) (FQ37) (all: Decou 1964; Decu et al. 2006) ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ).

Ecological status. Subtroglophile.
