Zoogeographic element. Euro-Caucasian.
Distribution. From Central and Northern Europe to South-Eastern Europe (the Balkan Peninsula), eastward to the Caspian Sea.
Distribution in Romania. Epigeal records. Bäile Herculane (FQ17) (Kuthy 1896); Haţeg (FR55), Braşov (LL85) (Petri 1912, 1926); Comana (MJ39) (Montandon 1908); Bucegi Mt. (LL82) (Ieniştea 1941); Piatra Craiului (LL63) (15.VI.2009, AN leg., ISER); Rodnei Mt. (LN25) (Nitzu et al. 2008). Hypogeal records. Cheile Caraşului (MSS) (ER60) (24.IV.2002; 29.XI.2003; 1.VI.2003, VI leg., ISER) ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 ).
Ecological status. Trogloxene.
