Material examined. Northern Territory: 6 specimens, AM P.78233, west end of Oxley Island (11°00′S 132°49′E), 14 m, muddy sand, 21 October 1982, coll. G.C.B. Poore (NT 88) ; 1 specimen, AM P.78232, west end of Oxley Island (11°00′S 132°49′E), 14 m, muddy sand, 21 October 1982, coll. J.K. Lowry (NT 85).

Western Australia: a female, 4 mm, dissected, 4 slides, WAM C45861, Long Reef , The Kimberley (13°53′19″S 125°44′57″E), 12 m, 20 October 2010, coll. Andrew Hosie, Woodside Kimberley Survey 2010 (44/K10-T1) ; 3 specimens (1 male, 2 female), AM P. 41231, 350 m east-south-east of Penguin Island, Warnbro Sound (32°18′30″S 115°41′36″E), 3 m, seagrass Poisidonia sinuosa , 7–9 November 1990, coll. P.A. Hutchings & party (Stn P) ; 1 male specimen, AM P. 97860, east side of West Lewis Island Dampier Archipelago (20°34′39″S 116°39′43″E), 5 m, under rocks, 4 September 1999, coll. R.A. Peart (WA 709).

South Australia. 4 specimens (3 male, 1 female), AM P.97861, 8– 10 km off Semaphore, Gulf St Vincent, (34°52′S 138°20′E), 9 m, 1925, coll. H.M. Hale (6-7 of H.M. Hale).

Type locality. Fringing reef between Bird Islet and South Island, Lizard Island, Great Barrier Reef (14°42′S 145°28′E), reef rock, 12 m depth.

Distribution. Australia. Northern Territory: Oxley Island (current study). Western Australia. Warnbro Sound; Dampier Archipelago; Long Reef, The Kimberley (current study). Queensland: Lizard Island ( Berents 1983; Krapp-Schickel 2009).
