Diagnosis. Males of S. histrio ( Fig. 97 View FIGURES 80 – 97 ) are similar to those of S. carinata ( Fig. 85 View FIGURES 80 – 97 ) by the developed, granular ITA, but can be recognized by the poorly developed paraembolic projection ( Fig. 96 View FIGURES 80 – 97 ). Females of this species (Fig. 159) are similar to those of S. dentichelis ( Fig. 111 View FIGURES 108 – 112. S ) by the general color pattern, but can be recognized by the smooth lateral fields of the epigynal plate (Fig. 160) (excavated in S. dentichelis , Fig. 115 View FIGURES 113 – 116. S ).

Description. Male (MPEG 15966). Total length: 4.31. Carapace dark brown, 2.02 long, 0.98 wide, 0.63 high (Fig. 156). Ocular quadrangle lighter, with two transverse dark brown stripes, 0.87 long, bordered by a posterior line of white scales. Anterior eye row 0.98 wide and posterior 0.88 wide. Palp light brown (Figs 157‒158); RTA elongated, RvTA short and rounded, ITA developed and granulated; paraembolic projection rectangular with striae, acute tip of DEA seen on the retrolateral side; embolus stout and short, oblique. Legs 1432, I dark brown, II‒IV yellow. Length of femur: I 1.82, II 1.02, III 0.98, IV 1.32; patella + tibia: I 2.44, II 1.28, III 1.18, IV 1.61; metatarsus + tarsus: I 1.61, II 1.01, III 1.06, IV 1.48. Spination on ventral tibia I: 2-2-2-2. Abdomen dorsally with complex color pattern (Fig. 156); ventrally cream-colored.

Female (MPEG 4077). Total length: 3.14. Carapace 1.38 long, 0.98 wide, 0.69 high, as in male (Fig. 159). Ocular quadrangle 0.89 long. Anterior eye row 0.98 wide and posterior 0.92 wide. Legs 4132, yellow. Length of femur: I 0.80, II 0.68, III 0.66, IV 0.86; patella + tibia: I 1.13, II 0.77, III 0.75, IV 1.13; metatarsus + tarsus: I 0.81, II 0.67, III 0.78, IV 1.02. Spination and abdomen as in male. Epigyne as in Figs 160‒161.
