The tribe is composed by five genera and 56 species, distributed in the Neotropical Region, even if a few species reach the Mexican Transition Zone and the Neartic Region . Identification keys for almost all species are available since an extensive revision of the tribe was carried out so far ( Emsley 1970). This is the first record of the tribe for the Paraná State, as we found five species inhabiting the sampling sites .
