TYPE LOCALITY: Kenya, E bank of Tana River .
DISTRIBUTION: S Somalia to N Kenya.
STATUS: IUCN - Vulnerable.
COMMENTS: Included in D. lunatus by Haltenorth (1963:100). Formerly in Beatragus ; see Ansell (1972:54); retained in Beatragus by Gentry and Gentry (1978) and Gentry (1990).
