iv. Crematogaster View in CoL kneri- group

1. Petiole moderately to sharply flared, or suboval ( Figs 14 View FIGURES 12 – 19. 12 a, 16a)

2. Postpetiole globular, with at most weak posterior impression ( Figs 24, 25 View FIGURES 20 – 27. 20 ).

3. Pronotum often with angular or tuberculate lateral margins ( Fig. 30 View FIGURES 28 – 35. 28 ).

4. Mesonotum often postero-laterally angulate or denticulate ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 28 – 35. 28 ).

This group will probably contain a large part of the former subgenus Sphaerocrema , but this remains to be tested. At the moment the following species are assigned to this grouping: C. kneri Mayr , C. bequaerti Forel , C. concava Emery , C. luctans Forel and C. chlorotica Emery.
