Type Locality: "Río Putumayo or Iça, Peruvian border of Amazonas, Brazil "; Hershkovitz (1990 b) doubted its accuracy., and van Roosmalen et al. (2002) postulated it was from the Rio Madeira basin south of the Amazon .
Vernacular Names: Ashy Black Titi.
Distribution: Rio Madeira basin (SW Brazil).
Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Subgenus Callicebus . C. moloch species group.
