First faunistic record for Croatia: Krauss 1879 [ Frauenfeld's (1861) records are older, but could represent A. strepens , since the author did not report this species in the coastal area]

Distribution in Croatia: Nominal subspecies only. Recorded in all regions, but older records need to be revised.

Distribution in Europe: Widespread, from the Canary Islands (southwestern distribution border) to Western Germany (northern border) and Russia (eastern border) ( Hochkirch et al. 2016)
