Generitype of Tilia Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 161. 1929).

Current name: Tilia europaea L. ( Tiliaceae ).

Note: Pigott & Sell (in Kew Bull. 50: 135-139, f. 1. 1995) have provided a detailed discussion of their earlier (1993) formal choice of lectotype.
