Type Locality: Colombia, Valle del Cauca Dept., San Antonio, near Cali, 8000 ft (2438 m).

Vernacular Names: Cordillera Occidental Akodont.

Synonyms: Akodon (Akodon) tolimae J. A. Allen 1913 .

Distribution: Cordillera Occidental of W Colombia.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Subgenus Akodon . Tentatively affiliated with Microxus by Gyldenstolpe (1932), but Anthony (1924) had intimated its membership in Akodon and Cabrera (1961) arranged it as such.
