Type Locality: Australia, Western Australia, King George Sound.

Vernacular Names: Lesser Long-eared Bat.

Subspecies: :

Subspecies Nyctophilus geoffroyi subsp. pacificus Gray 1831

Subspecies Nyctophilus geoffroyi subsp. pallescens Thomas 1913

Distribution: Australia (except NE) including Tasmania.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Reviewed in part by Kitchener et al. (1991 d). The three subspecies are poorly defined.
