Host. Poaceae : Elymus repens (L.) Gould—a newly recorded host plant.

Mine. ( Fig. 81 View FIGURES 75–83 ) Larvae form a white blotch mine apically on the leaf. Two larvae feed together in each mine. Pupation takes place outside the mine.

Puparium. ( Figs. 82, 83 View FIGURES 75–83 ) Orange-brown, glossy, 2.0 mm long, with distinct segmentation; surface quite smooth except for wide spine bands. Posterior spiracles set on high and narrow conical protuberances ending with stalk and entirely strongly separate; dark brown, with two small spherical bulbs set at the top of the stalk. Anal plate strongly protruding above the surface of the puparium viewed from the side and directed ventro-posteriorly.

Cephalopharyngeal skeleton. ( Fig. 445 View FIGURES 445–449 ) Right mouthhook much larger than the left, both with sharp portion directed ventro-anteriorly. Each mouthhook bears two sharp accessory teeth. Intermediate sclerite narrow, slightly curved, with long, sharp finger-like process directed ventro-posteriorly, 1.52× as long as maximum height of left mouthhook. The mouthhook, intermediate sclerite and anterior portion of the pharyngeal sclerite are strongly sclerotized, dorsal and ventral cornua much less so. Indentation index 80.

Female head. ( Figs. 446, 447 View FIGURES 445–449 ) Brownish-black, with face, gena and proboscis dirty orange; orbit not projecting above eye in profile, 2 orb s, 2 fr s and narrow lunule, reaching the level between fr s; pped small, rounded, dirty yellow; gena medially 0.1× as high as maximum height of eye, dirty yellow.

Female genitalia. ( Figs. 448, 449 View FIGURES 445–449 ) Capsule of spermatheca relatively small, 0.16× as high as height of anterior part of oviscape. Spermathecae equal in size, dark brown, asymmetrically semicircular, flattened basally. Neck of spermatheca long, slightly curved, as strongly sclerotized as capsule; 0.57× as long as height of spermatheca. Spermathecal duct with spiral sclerotization.

Distribution. Palaearctic ( Papp & Černý 2016). Ukraine (first record).
