Previous records

Tenerife.

Natural history

It has been recorded visiting flowers of Tamarix canariensis (Tamaricaceae) and also at flowers of Aristolochia paucinervis in Spain (Regina Berjano Pérez and Disney, unpublished data). Leruth (1936) recorded adults overwintering in caves in Belgium and adults have been reported from caves in Germany (Prescher and Zaeniker 2005).
