The western Palaearctic species are covered by Disney (1979, 1983) supplemented by the Canary Islands species described by Disney and Prescher (2003).

1. Vein 3 (last thick vein) and veins 4–6 essentially brown. Male wing with costa thickest at junction with vein 1 ( Figure 71A View Figure 71 ). Female T5 with large semicircular anterior flap embraced by posterior part of tergite ( Figure 72A View Figure 72 ). Male hind trochanter and base of male hind femur as Figure 71C View Figure 71 .
