Natural history

It has been reared from the sporophores of the fungi Boletus edulis , Boletus pinophilus (= pinicola) ( Boletaceae ) and Pleurotus cornucopiae (Lentinaceae) . Adults have been reported visiting the flowers of Anthriscus sylvestris (Apiaceae) .
