Holotype Type : — INDIA. Circar Mountains, Roxburgh 806 ( BM).
Habitats and Ecology: — Occurs in wet lands, on the flanks of the river, in pond, in ditches and in other fresh water bodies in the tropics of the Eastern World.
Distribution of Louisiella paludosa in the world:— Iran, Pakistan, India (fairly wide distribution in all across the mainland India), Tropical Asia, Indo-China, North and East Australia ( Clayton et al. 2006 onwards & POWO (online), Kellogg et al. 2020).
Distribution of genus Louisiella in the world: — America, Africa and now with this new combination its range extension in Eastern Hemisphere from Iran through Tropical Asia to North and East Australia is evident.
