Type Locality: "Kachar region" [ Nepal].

Vernacular Names: Yellow-bellied Weasel.

Subspecies: :

Subspecies Mustela kathiah subsp. caporiaccoi de Beaux 1935

Distribution: Burma, S and E China, Indochinese peninsula, Nepal, N Pakistan.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix III ( India); IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Abramov (1999) placed kathiah in the subgenus Gale . Synonmys allocated according to Ellerman and Morrison-Scott (1951).
