Type Locality: México, Sonora, San Pedro Nolasco Isl; 27°58'N, 111°24'W. GoogleMaps
Vernacular Names: Pemberton's Deermouse.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
Conservation: IUCN – Extinct.
Discussion: P. eremicus species group. Derivation from a P. merriami -like ancestor postulated by Lawlor (1971a). Probably extinct—see Lawlor (1983) and Alvarez-Castañeda and Ortega-Rubio (2003). See Alvarez-Castañeda and Cortés-Calva (2003, Mammalian Species, 734).
