Genus: Storchia Oudemans

Type species: Caligonus robustus Berlese, 1885 .

Body oval elongate. Legs shorter than the body length. Prodorsal shield long oblong, smooth or reticulated, bearing two pairs of setae. Setae sci and sce on platelets. Eyes and post-ocular bodies absent. Hysterosomal area striated longitudinally, with six pairs of setae, suranal shield divided, with two or three pairs of setae, setae h 3 in ventromarginal position. Humeral shield vestigial or absent, bearing setae c 2. Coxisternal shields absent. Intercoxal area with setae 1a, 3a and 4a. Venteral opisthosoma carrying four pairs of aggenital setae, anogenital area with two-four pairs of genital setae and three pairs pseudanal setae. Subcapitulum with two pairs of subcapitular setae, two pairs of adoral setae. Chelicerae separate. Palp tibial claw slightly shorter than palp tarsus, accessory claw slender. Terminal eupathidia on palp tarsus unfused ( Fan & Zhang 2005; Safasadati et al. 2010).

This genus comprises eight species in the world ( Safasadati et al. 2010; Bagheri et al. 2011). To date only one species, S. robustus (Berlese) , was reported from Turkey (Doġan 2007). This species is recorded from new localities.
