Remarks. Mesocyclops brooksi was established by Pesce et al. (1996) to accommodate several specimens collected from Bobs Well in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This species was subsequently reported from additional well sites in the Pilbara ( De Laurentiis et al. 1999; Hołyṅska & Brown 2003; Karanovic 2006) and Murchison regions ( Karanovic 2004a), as well as from many epigean localities in the south-west of Western Australia ( Halse et al. 2000 a, 2002a; Hołyṅska & Brown loc. cit.; Cale et al. 2004; Pinder et al. 2004) and from one site in Queensland (Hołyṅska & Brown loc. cit.).
