Holotype, male, pinned: also paratypes 23, 3Ƥ, pinned (two abdomens on genitalia slides).

ASKEW)” [Printed and Handwritten (by Pelham- Clinton)]. “ Scrobipalpa | clintoni Pov. [Handwritten (by Povolńy)] | Holotypus [Printed]” [Orange label]. “ Holotype ” [Round label with red border]. “ RSM 1970.77” [Typewritten].

Remarks: Incorrect data is quoted for the holotype in the original description ( Povolńy, 1968). The corrected data is given in Pelham-Clinton (1971). Further paratypes are in BMNH (2) and Povolńy Collection (2). Line drawings of the forewing and 3 & Ƥ genitalia are given by Povolńy (1968: figs. 1–5).
