Notes
The number of species recognised in the Chrysis ignita group has varied from author to author. Soon et al. (2014) analysed species limits and found there to be 15 described European species plus cryptic species, a result more in line with Morgan’s ( Morgan 1984) recognition of multiple species than, for example, Kunz’s ( Kunz 1994) much more conservative treatment.
