According to Gauld (2000), this group is recognizable by “the tergite VIII developed into a cornus
( Figs 44 View FIGURES 37–44 & 59 View FIGURES 53–60 ). A very long ovipositor, 7.1–12.3 × as long as the hind tibia. Finally, hind wing vein Cu 1 arising from M more or less at, or distal to cu-a by <1.0 × length of cu-a ” ( Figs 36 View FIGURES 33–36 , 43 View FIGURES 37–44 , 47 View FIGURES 45–48 , 53 & 54 View FIGURES 53–60 ).
