Type locality: Orenburg ( Russia).

Published (original) locality: “in provincia Orenburgensi”.

Lectotype: ♀, designated by Osytshnjuk et al. 2008: 214, Orb [ Russia, Orenburg Province, Orenburg, 51°46′N 55°06′E] // Andrena compta Pall. mspt B.M. [handwritten by E. Paralectotypes: 5 ♀, the same label as in the lectotype // Paralectotypus Andrena compta Eversm. , design. Osychnjuk, 1980 <red label>.

Current status. Andrena (Melandrena) comta Eversmann, 1852 .

Distribution. Europe, Russia (to Far East), Kazakhstan, Mongolia, northern China, Japan. According to Ascher & Pickering (2022) this species is also recorded from Korean Peninsula.
