NOTES. There are 9 Palaearctic and 7 Nearctic species in this genus, five of them are distributed in Europe, including P. eximia (Meigen, 1820) known from European part of

Russia. Two species, P. amurensis Lyneborg, 1986 and P. sapporensis (Matsumura, 1916),

are known from East Palaearctic region, including Russian Far East.
